Art of Mathematics

Art + Math = uh? Surprised  That’s my reaction. (engineers and math majors can now stop reading)

It seems that bunch of Docker wear, tennis shoe clad mathematicians, with way too much time on their hands, decided to create “precise visual representations” of mathematical theories.

Seeing that “precise visual representations” was too long for the general public and they very well couldn’t call them “art” (think of their reputation!!), the mathematicians called the pieces “dynamical systems”.

…Or was it that the pieces showed “dynamical systems”…?  Undecided

Sigh. Mathematicians.  I think I shall call the "art". Yeah – that works (besides, do mathematicians really have a reputation?!)

Now where was I?  oh, yes – now I remember. The University of Liverpool is displaying these works of art by mathematicians from around the world. So if you are in Liverpool, UK, this week, make sure you attend this gallery. Tongue out

I think someone cheated on this piece and used a brush!!

The BBC video said this was a 2-D visual representation of a 4-D mathematical system.

To me, it looks like slightly odd tunnel that would look good in my basement.
